In this introductory hands-on workshop, you will gain an overview of Endnote X8, a desktop citation management tool that allows you to download and store your references from the wealth of the library’s resources, and “automatically” insert them into your paper.

What's Covered:

  • Import references from health science databases (e.g. Medline, PubMed), websites, and Google Scholar
  • Create a bibliography in APA, MLA, Vancouver, or other citation styles
  • Create in-text citations in Microsoft Word using Cite While You Write
  • Organize and share your references

What’s required – technical specifications:

  • Bring your own laptop with Endnote X8 Desktop installed (If you do not have a laptop, PCs are available for you to use):
  • This session will use EndNote X8 Desktop, and will be demonstrated on a PC.  Mac users are welcome, but all demonstrations will be performed on a PC.
