Bring out yer SIPs: An Introduction to Digital Preservation with Archivematica In-Person
This workshop will introduce students to the preservation processing system Archivematica and how to SIP, AIP and DIP their way to digital preservation success.
Students will learn:
- Basic concepts in digital preservation
- How to prepare transfers for Archivematica
- How to process transfers using Archivematica
- How to assess the results of preservation activities
Should you fail to withdraw 48+ hours in advance, thereby preventing your colleagues on the waitlist from filling in your spot, your library account will be charged $10 per missed workshop. Please note, it is your responsibility to sign next to your name on the attendance sheet for each workshop session. A blank signature spot will result in a penalty charge.
