Genres of Academic Writing In-Person

In this workshop, we’ll examine typical academic writing tasks and how to “read” your course assignments so you’ll deliver what’s really expected. Specifically, we’ll start with pre-and post-writing strategies, namely outlining and reverse outlines; we’ll then look at how to approach and construct some basic genres of academic writing: the reflection paper, the research paper introduction, the critical review and the literature review.

Should you fail to withdraw 48+ hours in advance, thereby preventing your colleagues on the waitlist from filling in your spot, your library account will be charged $10 per missed workshop.  Please note, it is your responsibility to sign next to your name on the attendance sheet for each workshop session.  A blank signature spot will result in a penalty charge.
