Data Resources for Entrepreneurs (CCR) In-Person

CCR

Location: AC286A, Instruction Lab, UTSC Library, 1265 Military Trail

The ability to ask and answer real-world questions from large and small data sets, and to communicate that information to others, is becoming a requirement for innovation and entrepreneurship. This interactive session will introduce you to the data literacy skills you will need to find, select, evaluate, and communicate stories from data that will help you with your business pitch and business plan.

Participants will learn to:

· find, identify, and select types of marketing, consumer, demographic and economic data

· navigate major databases and data catalogues, via hands-on experience

· critically evaluate the suitability of data resources to meet their needs
