99 AI Challenge - Dr. Brian Harrington In-Person

This is the fifth event in Phase Two of the 99 AI Challenge, featuring a talk by Dr. Brian Harrington, who earned his Doctorate in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing from Oxford University. He will speak about machine learning bias and its implications for perpetuating social problems such as predictive policing, loan applications, college admissions, exploring the question of whether “an algorithm can be racist?”

This event is taking place at UTSC Campus, HW305. Transportation costs will be covered, with a limited number of parking passes as well.

Please indicate whether you need transportation arranged from St George Campus, or whether you need a parking pass. Please look out for emails with additional details regarding transportation.
