Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction - Mindfulness and Meditation Session Online

This session will occur online and is facilitated by the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. It is part of UTSC Library's Mindfulness Event series.

Through this 1-hour session Kathleen Schaeffer will introduce participants to mindfulness, as well as lead participants through a compassionate body scan meditation and couple other mindfulness practices. Additionally, Kathleen will give an overview on the research that shows mindfulness practices not only impact our mental health, but our physical and social health too. She'll conclude with a few ideas for incorporating mindfulness into the home, workplace, and classroom, through the use of or absence of technology.
