Mindfulness and Relational Art Online

This session will occur online and is facilitated by the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. It is part of the library's Mindfulness Event series.

This session uses a relational art approach that is based on the work of Miranda July and Harrell Fletcher (Learning to Love You More), this session will give you an opportunity to express your experience of everyday moments, objects, and processes. This session will be a celebration of the creative participatory impetus in relational art, which has the potential to promote egalitarianism and explores shared experiences in both physical and virtual spaces. You will have an opportunity to creatively respond to a predetermined prompt that you can share with the group, or just explore “Learning to Love You More” project, and share a piece that you think is creative, thoughtful, or funny. You can also share anything other work that you might find relatable or inspirational. All you need for this session is some art supplies (paper, markers, pencils, collage supplies - anything will do!) if you intend to create your own response.
