An Introduction to Music Librarianship Online
The field of music librarianship provides unique opportunities to explore a multitude of different aspects of librarianship, including special collections/formats, metadata, reference, archival curation, digital humanities, collection policy and development, and instruction. This workshop will provide an overview of what makes music librarianship a wonderfully complex and multi-faceted career.
The workshop will include:
- Music collection assessment and development
- An introduction to Music reference and research
- An overview of different formats within music collections
- Copyright considerations
- Outreach and professional development opportunities
