Zotero! Organize your Research. Make your Life Easier. Online

Zotero is a free open-source tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share research. Not only can Zotero simplify your citations, it can also help you organize your reading notes. Join this 2-hour workshop to see how Zotero can help support your research and coursework. Open to all experience levels.

 

This session is split into 3 sections:

  • 1-2 pm will be an introduction to Zotero. By the end of this section your will be able to:
    • Save full-text references in Zotero from many different sources (e.g. in Zotero, using Firefox or Chrome)
    • Generate citations and bibliographies using Zotero, Google, or MS Word
    • Organize and sync your Zotero library
    • Use group libraries to share your research and collaborate with colleagues
  • 2-2:30 PM will cover the following advanced Zotero topics:
    • PDF management using the ZotFile plugin
    • Migrating to Zotero using Zotero Folder Import plugin
    • Zotero 6's *NEW* PDF Reader
    • Using Zotero to organizing your learning
  • 2:30 - 3 PM will focus on working with you to integrate Zotero into your own personal workflows.

 

  • If you are already a basic Zotero user, you have the option to join only the second half of the workshop (you are welco­me to join the whole workshop too!)
