Black History Month Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon at the Engineering & Computer Science Library

Black History Month Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon at the Engineering & Computer Science Library In-Person

Representation matters: not just on our screens, but in the information and data we use and share. Join us for an in-person beginner-friendly editing session to help improve coverage of Black histories pertaining to engineering.

This event is open to anyone who would like to help grow the sum of fair, dignified, and gender-inclusive Black histories on Wikipedia and Wikidata. All levels of skill are welcome.

We will be working to improve the information available on Wikipedia based on a tasklist featuring Black engineers, and participants are also welcome to bring their own editing ideas.

This is an IN-PERSON event specific to engineering. To sign up for the general, online Black History Month Edit-a-Thon, visit the Eventbrite Page.

For more information about the event, visit our event page on Wikipedia.

Masks are encouraged for all participants. If you require an accommodation in order to participate, please reach out to engineering.library@utoronto.ca before the event.
