Many reports, studies and other research works cannot be located through standard subject databases. Policy documents, dissertations, conference proceedings, newsletters, handbooks and many other sources that are published and distributed outside traditional scholarly channels are called “grey literature.” Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you will leave this introductory workshop able to:

• Identify major types of grey literature and know where to look for them.
• Explain why grey literature can be an invaluable information source.  
• Search for and critically evaluate grey literature sources.
