Workshop: Islamic Calligraphy and Illumination In-Person
Join us for a workshop at the Fisher Library on the classical Islamic arts of "hüsn-i hat" (calligraphy) and "tezhip" (illumination) in the Turkish tradition. In this session, participants will learn about the arts of calligraphy and illumination by studying manuscripts with Turkish calligrapher, Hattat Ferhat Kurlu, along with illumination artist Müzehhibe Zeynep Kurlu, and calligrapher Qudsiyyah Bhayat.
