GenAI Search Engines for Literature Reviews In-Person

Audience: University of Toronto upper-level undergraduate and graduate students

By the end of this interactive workshop participants will:

  1. Understand the differences between traditional lexical search and AI search engines 
  2. Describe the ethical, copyright, and environmental concerns associated with use of AI search engines
  3. Critically evaluate AI search tools and articulate the benefits and pitfalls when including them in your literature reviews
  4. Practice searching in AI search engines including UTL licensed tools (ScopusAI and Web of Science AI Assistant) and online tools (eg. Consensus, Elicit, the-literature.com, Undermind, Scite.ai, SciSpace)
