Seed Saving Workshop @ Gerstein Library In-Person

What: Learn how to remove seeds from common vegetables such as cherry tomatoes and prepare them for storage until you are ready to plant. 

Why: Learning this skill can help with enjoyment of gardening as a hobby and overall health and well-being. Growing your own food is a great way to access healthy food affordably and sustainably.  

Who: This workshop is designed for novice learners. No experience in gardening is required. 

When: Tuesday Oct 7, 2025 from 12 – 1 pm 

Where: Gerstein Library - Main floor by the Garden & Seed Library

How: This is an in-person 1 hour workshop, consisting of a hands-on demonstration with time for you to participate. You can take away some seeds to dry at home and plant next spring.  Please note we will not be providing pots or soil.
