SJTCA x UofT Jazz Mini Concert In-Person
The SJTCA x UofT Jazz Outreach Program is a collaboration between St. James Town Community Arts, a non-profit organization that provides free arts education to children in an underserved community, and UofT Jazz. Through this collaboration, UofT Jazz students visit the St. James Town Community Corner on a weekly basis to give private music lessons (piano, voice, or guitar) to children ages 8-14. The program gives children from St. James Town the opportunity to grow their musical skills, build their confidence, and engage with the University. It also allows UofT students to engage with neighbouring communities and develop their teaching skills.
Join us on Friday February 13th for an informal mini concert where students from the community and U of T student teachers share and perform what they have been working on!
