Biomedical Communications: Student Portfolio Showcase & Panel In-Person
This event will feature current U of T Master of Science in Biomedical Communications (MScBMC) students who share their academic experiences and present their work in biomedical communications. The MScBMC program is a highly competitive graduate program that trains students in the specialized field of biomedical communication. By integrating science and art, the program prepares graduates for careers in areas such as medical illustration, health promotion, and visual communication. (This event is not affiliated with the MScBMC program).
Join us for:
- Student showcase: View illustrations and projects from the program, along with portfolio pieces from their successful applications.
- Student panel: Get a clear, firsthand look at the structure and expectations of the program by highlighting both its creative and scientific component. You'll have the opportunity to view real examples of student work produced within the program, compare application materials with completed coursework, and see how artistic technique, scientific accuracy, and narrative design come together in professional practice. You can also ask questions about coursework, portfolio development, admission expectations, and the day-to-day experience of being in the MScBMC program.
- Networking: Following the Q&A session, dedicated time for networking will allow participants to engage more personally with the panelists and begin forming professional connections.
WHEN: FRI MARCH 27, 3-4:30pm
WHERE: Alice Moulton Room (2nd floor), Gerstein Science Information Centre (9 King's College Circle)
WHO: Open to all current U of T students
Light refreshments will be served.
