Daniels De-Stress Series: Zine-Making Workshop In-Person

All craft supplies will be provided, along with step-by-step instructions to help participants design, fold, assemble, and decorate their own DIY publication. No prior experience is necessary. Whether you’re a seasoned maker looking to relax with a craft, or entirely new to zines, this workshop offers an introduction to small-scale, self-published print.

The session will include a brief history of zine culture over the decades and an exploration of how communities formed around this accessible medium. Zines have long provided a platform for marginalized voices, experimental writing, personal narrative, and grassroots organizing. Attention will also be given to how the material form itself (often photocopied and hand-distributed) shapes readership and community.
