DESCRIPTION:Please\, check out other Fun Data Friday events.\n\n\n	What: 
 Learn the basics of using PowerBI\, Microsoft’s Business Intelligence 
 software. Using a fictional business’ reports and data\, we will develop 
 interactive visualizations and dashboards that are sure to impress your 
 boss or future funders.  \n	 \n	Why: Create captivating interactive digital 
 reports and dashboards is a sure way to improve communication about the 
 data you are working with\, regardless of profession or area of interest. 
 Communication is one skill everyone can continue to grow professionally. 
 Research indicates around 65% of individuals are visual learners\, so 
 creating data visualizations can improve your messaging to your audience.  
 \n	 \n	Software: Microsoft Power BI is a premier data visualization and 
 reporting platform that is used by businesses and professionals every day. 
 University of Toronto students all have access to PowerBI through their 
 Microsoft Office 365 accounts.  \n	 \n	Who: This workshop is designed for 
 individuals interested in making data driven decisions and improving their 
 data insight and communication skills. Participants from any discipline: 
 Human Geography\, Social Sciences\, or Sciences are encouraged to 
 participate. An understanding of spreadsheets and datatypes would be 
 helpful for this workshop. \n	 \n	How: This is a 2 hour in-person 
 workshop\, consisting of a short lecture and then a series of 
 demonstrations\, which you can follow along with or just watch\, 
 interspersed with activities we will complete together and discuss. There 
 are no breaks. \n	 \n	Where: This workshop will be held in The BRIDGE Data 
 Lab (IC 108)\n	 \n	When: Friday\, November 7\, 4-6:00pm. \n	 \n	Code of
