We have four Group Study Rooms and one Private Study Room available for research and study.

We also have one Soundproof Booth available for video conferences or phone calls. Please note the booking policies for the Soundproof Booth below.

While some discussion is permitted, these rooms are not sound-proof. They are not suitable for attending online classes, interviews, video conferences, or phone calls. Please book the Soundproof Booth for video conferences, interviews or phone calls.

  • Group Study Rooms #1 and #2, and Soundproof Booth can be booked by any University of Toronto student.
  • Group Study Rooms #3 and #4 can only be booked by groups with at least one Trinity College or Wycliffe College student.
  • Private Study Room can be booked by a Trinity College or Wycliffe College student.

Requirements

  • For Group Study Rooms: Minimum of two students required; maximum of four students allowed. Minimum of two students must be in the group study room for the duration of the booking. 
  • For Personal Study Room and Soundproof Booth: Only one student allowed.   
  • All Study Room & Soundproof Booth users must be current U of T students. 
  • For study rooms: Only 1 booking per person up to a maximum of 3 hours (in a group, and as an individual on your own or part of a group) per day is permitted. 
  • For Soundproof Booth: Only 1 booking per person for a maximum of 1 hour is permitted. No food or drink is permitted in the booth. 
  • Those who have booked a room have priority for use of the room with the following exceptions:  
    • Rooms booked, but unoccupied after 15 minutes, will become available to others.  
    • A group vacating a group study room for breaks longer than 20 minutes will forfeit the room.  
  • Please note that filming or recording within the library, especially within the study rooms, is prohibited without prior permission from the Director of the library.
