Welcome to the page for booking a group study room at the University College Library. Please familiarize yourself with the following policies before making a booking

Booking Policies

  • A minimum of 2 people is required to make a booking.

  • Each group study room has a maximum occupancy of 4 people and a minimum occupancy of 2 people.
  • Group study rooms may only be used by current U of T students who have a valid UTORid.
  • Group study rooms can be booked for up to 3 hours per week.
  • Group study rooms can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance.
  • Group study rooms may only be used for academic work related to U of T courses.
  • When you arrive for your booking, please check in with the Library Assistant at the service desk on the mezzanine (upper level) of the UC Library.
  • If you no longer need your booking, please delete it so that other students can book the room.
  • If a group has not arrived by 15 minutes after the start of their booking time, the booking will be deleted, and the room will be made available for other students to book.

Conduct Policies

  • Everyone using the study rooms is expected to honour the University of Toronto Library Conduct Regulations: https://onesearch.library.utoronto.ca/conduct-regulations 

  • Eating is not permitted in the UC Library, including the group study rooms. But drinks with lids are permitted.
  • The group study rooms are not soundproof; please use your "indoor voice" to be respectful of others who are studying in the library.
  • Please keep the group study rooms tidy; when you leave, please dispose of coffee cups or other waste in the receptacles just outside the library doors.
  • Never leave your valuables unattended. Thefts have been reported in U of T libraries.
